How do I disable newsgroup name abbreviations?
Enter about:config in the browser location bar.
Search for the preference mail.server.default.abbreviate.
Modify the value to false.
To specify a server:
Add for the Boolean preference mail.server.serverX.abbreviate, where X is the server number.
Set the value to false.
