Changing Internet Service Provider. If you have changed Internet Service Providers, and would like to change your mail settings to your new email account, it is best to create a new mail account, rather than edit your old one. This is especially true, if you've switched ISPs before the old one discontinues your service, enabling you to check for messages on your old address, after you've switched. Once you've got your new email address, and server info, go to File-->New-->Account and create the account for your new email address. You should end up with an account for each ISP. From that point on, all you need to do is drag and drop the messages, or use Message-->Move. Once your old ISP has discontinued your service, you can just remove the old account, via Edit-->Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings. |
