How do I change the domain suffix used in domain guessing?

As an example, we'll use .net; so wherever you see .net in this answer, replace that with what ever you wish.

Enter about:config in the location bar.
Search for the preference browser.fixup.alternate.suffix.
Modify the value to .net.
